Yes Really - and About Time Too, I hear you say!

Hello Everyone

I am just SO thrilled to be able to welcome you myself -  to be able to post something on my own site without needing to take a Night School Course to learn how.  I am not the most technologically savvy gal, you see - and hence I have been very remiss at keeping the old site updated.  Enter Pete - amazing Pete - who has put this all together (having done my original excellent site too). I believe that Pete could turn water into wine, if asked - and I may well ask when we get together later this month to celebrate the launch of this new Beaver Pond Identity! Thanks SO much Pete - I love the site - and I hope anyone visiting it who also feels that way will let me know so I can convince Pete it was worth the vast amount of time we spent on the phone discussing it!!

So what's new this week?

This weekend is the Vancouver Kite Festival at Vanier Park which reminds me that I have a couple of new paintings which I have produced from the photographs I took at the festival last year.  It is an amazingly colourful event.  There will be a kite festival painting in the new Calendar - which, hopefully is on track to be ready for the beginning of August, when, as in past years I will be showing my work at the Harmony Arts Festival at Ambleside Beach in West Vancouver.  Dates are July 31st - August 3rd and August 7th - 9th.

Keep an eye out for my image "Granville Island at 30" which is being used as part of the celebrations of Granville Island's 30th Birthday which takes place this summer.  The image will be used on Banners, Transit Posters and in other forms and I think it captures the spirit of this vibrant community 30 years on.

In the studio I am working on new paintings for the 2010 calendar as well as other originals and commissioned pieces - please drop by and visit me if you are on Granville Island.

Current Studio hours are 10am - 5pm each day except Sunday when I open at 11 am and close at 5pm
